Low Tire Pressure Effects
- (Pressure Effect) in sealed box designs, the pressure build-up on one side of the cone which may cause non-linearity and inhibit dynamic range in the low bass.
- lose interest or become bored with something or somebody; "I'm so tired of your mother and her complaints about my food"
- exhaust or get tired through overuse or great strain or stress; "We wore ourselves out on this hike"
- hoop that covers a wheel; "automobile tires are usually made of rubber and filled with compressed air"
- Become in need of rest or sleep; grow weary
- Cause to feel in need of rest or sleep; weary
- Lose interest in; become bored with
- A particularly bad or difficult moment
- A state of depression or low spirits
- A low point, level or figure
- an air mass of lower pressure; often brings precipitation; "a low moved in over night bringing sleet and snow"
- in a low position; near the ground; "the branches hung low"
- less than normal in degree or intensity or amount; "low prices"; "the reservoir is low"
Molecular Dynamics of Glass-Forming Systems: Effects of Pressure (Advances in Dielectrics)
Pressure is one of the essential thermodynamic variables that, due to some former experimental difficulties, was long known as the “forgotten variable.” But this has changed over the last decade. This book includes the most essential first experiments from the 1960s and reviews the progress made in understanding glass formation with the application of pressure in the last ten years. The systems include amorphous polymers and glass-forming liquids, polypeptides and polymers blends. The thermodynamics of these systems, the relation of the structural relaxation to the chemical specificity, and their present and future potential applications are discussed in detail. The book provides (a) an overview of systems exhibiting glassy behavior in relation to their molecular structure and provides readers with the current state of knowledge on the liquid-to-glass transformation, (b) emphasizes the relation between thermodynamic state and dynamic response and (c) shows that the information on the pressure effects on dynamics can be employed in the design of materials for particular applications. It is meant to serve as an advanced introductory book for scientists and graduate students working or planning to work with dynamics. Several scientific papers dealing with the effects of pressure on dynamics have appeared in leading journals in the fields of physics in the last ten years. The book provides researchers and students new to the field with an overview of the knowledge that has been gained in a coherent and comprehensive way.
Low Blood Pressure
On days 1, 2, and 3 of my 21 day cycle I'm on a drug that's given intravenously called cyclophosphamide. This drug is given for 3 hours and the whole time you have to have this lovely blood pressure machine thing wrapped around your arm. It monitors your blood pressure and it goes off every 15 minutes, because one of the side effects of cyclophosphamide is low blood pressure.
Again, this is my 4th cycle now, and I've never had a problem with low blood pressure before - but this time I did. As you can see my blood pressure is 68 over 35, which really isn't that good considering your average blood pressure is 120 over 80. All I remember is the nurses shaking me telling me to get up because they need to get my blood pressure up, because if it goes any lower I'd go into a coma.
..haha, I didn't seem to bothered by it though. My reaction was "so what?" rolled over and tried to go back to bed, hahaha. That's when the nurses started pulling the cranks and sat my bed up and made me get up, haha oh my.
Sandi Buchheister of Hayes (L) looks on as VIMS professor Rebecca Dickhut (R) checks her recommended tire pressure and xx (C) inflates a low tire during Marine Science Day at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science on May 30. Underinflated tires reduce gas mileage and increase a driver's carbon footprint, with negative effects for the Bay.

This work is the only comprehensive survey of methods for pressure measurement in gaseous media used in the medium-to-low pressure range closely connected with thermometry. It assembles current information on thermometry and manometry that involve the use of gaseous substances and that are likely to be valid methods for the future. As such, it is an important resource for the researcher.
This edition is updated through the very latest scientific and technical developments of gas-based temperature and pressure measurements using thermometry and manometry, and brings all of the techniques together under one cover. This book fills the gap in international literature, as no other recently published book provides a comprehensive survey for gaseous media closely connected with thermometry.
Updates in this new edition include revised appendices and new chapters on Mutual Recognition Agreement and its main applications, and developments in the European Metrology Society.
